Casio G9000-8V Review

Just an all around great watch. It has all the basic features of any normal G Shock watch but the color and comfort of this one make it stand out from the rest. It is not white, but rather a sand/tan color. The backlight is great and lights up the entire face well. Real solid and sturdy that feels like quality on your wrist. The band features a dual clasp and is one of my favorite parts about wearing this watch as you have twice the support with the two holes. A warning for anyone who has never had a mudman model of G Shock, the buttons are extremely hard to press as this is part of the mud resist and general ruggedness of the watch. I like it, you might not. Also, G Shocks hold their value very well with the collector’s market out there. So go ahead and get this watch. You won’t be disappointed.

Bought it for my brother. He loves it. Other than that, don’t know too much about it. The color on the watch is not paper white, but rather an off white looking color. Shipping was quick.

hard on watches – already dead –
This watch has little raised bumps on the wrist facing side that make it much more stable and comfortable.

Pros: It’s like an M-1 Abrams on your arm. It’s tough, can absorb lots of punishment (mine has survived a couple of biking accidents, extreme cold, and spent a whole night in the toilet thanks to the kids), and works great.

Cons: It’s like an M-1 Abrams on your arm. It’s bulky and heavy. When I walk holding my son’s hand I have to make sure that the watch is on the other arm so it doesn’t hit him in the head.

Overall the features are great, especially the light, and the watch works as advertised under the worst of conditions.
